Description: Fantastic opalescent white "Paisa Bird" / "Old Man of the Sea", English Sowerby Vase. The white opalescent takes on an amber/opal hue when the light shines through. The bottom has three small ball feet with bird claws. This vase is often referred as the "Old Man of The Sea". If you look at it from another angle you can see the face and beard of an old man. A lovely piece of early 20th Century pressed glass. Condition is mint. No chips, cracks or marks other than one natural flaw that appears as a very small bump in the glass - about 1/8".
