Description:
This vase in the diamond pinwheel pattern was made by Sowerby Glass Works in England during the 1920's and 1930's. Sowerby had a history in glass production when he founded the Ellison Glassworks at Gateshead in England in 1852. The factory was reinvigorated in the 1920’s producing carnival glass and Art Deco designs. In 1956 the company went into receivership but was bought out by Suntex.
Although it's not marked it has an elegance about it and is in very good + condition, without chips, cracks or fleabites and it measures 7 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches across the rim with a 3 3/4 inch base. Makes a beautiful display filled with your favorite Spring Flowers and an addition to any Sowerby or Carnival Glass Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed.
