Description: This auction features 180 lots of selected Design from the 20th Century, to include works from the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and later movements. Of special interest is a prototype ‘Bookworm’ by the contemporary designer Ron Arad; a group of furniture by Pierre Jeanneret removed from the Palace of Justice in Chandigarh, India; a dining suite, including a monumental dining table, by the designer George Nakashima; a private collection of Italian 1950s glass; two works of cire perdue glass by René Lalique and a strong group of Art Deco bronze and ivory figures, including the Rainier de Beisac Collection. There are also works by Lucie Rie, Hans Wegner, Edgar Brandt, Johannes Itten, Jean-Auguste Dampt and Charles Rennie Mackintosh
