Description:
A Singer featherweight Model 221-1 sewing machine and the carrying case. This little portable sewing machine is highly prized by quilters. The machine includes the bobbin case, presser foot, 5 bobbins, (original instruction book), small metal screwdriver, needles and the cords and foot control. It is in very good working condition and ready to sew. The serial number is AE078804 which dates it to 1936. There is a some wear on the black paint on the front edge and by the presser foot from usage. ADDITIONAL NOTE: The small green instruction book shown in the pictures is no longer with the machine. Unfortunatley someone needed it very badly at one of the antiques shows where we were displaying and selling the machine and "helped" themselves to the book. We do still have a copy of an original #221-1 instruction manual included with the machine, but it is a copy of the manual not the original.
