Description: Made in Georgia this is a Cossack kindjal of the Romanov era,The scabbard and hilt are of silver with raised design of floral pattern with niello niello work.The reverse of scabbard and hilt bear Arabic script also in niello.Scabbard has original clip retainer and wooden inserts to protect the blade.The stamped date on the scabbard is 1894 and the silver mark is 84(Russian silver).This piece is in very fine condition and it would make an outstanding addition to any collection.See photos for details on scabbard and hilt. the blade.
