Description: Signed bronze and gold card tray / dish with sculpture Native American head & feathered headdress. France late 19th early 20th century.
Dish itself Measures 4X3 1/8inches, excluding the protruding head. Total measurements are 4 1/4 X 4inches.
Tray is rectangular, made of bronze in a rich brown. Sides curve up and the top and outside is richly gilded. Over half the tray is covered by a gilded relief sculpted American Indian
(Native American) head, seen in profile. The modelling is outstanding with high cheekbones, a strong, curved nose and downward looking eyes. He wears fabulous jewelry, including hooped earrings and disks hung from his headdress. The huge feathered headdress shows off each feather and it's details.
