Description: Signed Czech vase that has a French look. I thought it was French when I first viewed it, but, of course, it is signed Czechoslovakian. It stands almost 9" tall and is about 6 1/2" at its widest. There is no damage. It has two layers of glass, but it might be three. It is multi colored and was blown from the top down. A particular method was used on this glass. When viewed closely, there is a pattern of like snow-flakes or a crackling affect. The method applied to this is by applying a heat reactive glue to the finished glass vase. The vase is then placed in an oven at a lower temperature, but a temperature high enough for the glue to heat up and explode off the glass, pulling away very small pieces of the glass. This is called the "Ice Chip" method or "chip ice". It is a rare find. The vase weighs about 2 1/2 pounds.
