A wonderful signed Charles Keller & Co. Victorian hand carved shell cameo of the mythological goddess Diana set in a 10K (pinkish) yellow gold. Depicts (Greek) Artemis (Roman) Diana- Goddess of light, and moon, also known as Goddess of hunting and assisting childbirth. Identified by the crescent moon shaped ornament in the hair. Full bodied cameo is typical of Victorian era carvings. Measures 1-3/8" by 1-1/8". Hinged bail for use as a pendant. Hand made and delicately engraved frame. Marked "10K" on the clasp with the Charles Keller & Co. hallmark. Excellent condition, Circa 1900. $7.95 US ship/insure. About the maker: *Charles Keller & Company- Newark, NJ.
