Siege of Limerick 1690 ~ Exceptional historic engraving "Dedicated to the Friends & Patriots of Irish Freedom by the publishers". Large 22x28" multicolored and using in part stencils for object coloration tinted engraving. Published by Thomas Kelly 12 Barclay St NY, entered according to act of congress 1867 by R S Spence in the clerk's office of the district court of the united states for the southern district of new york. Great details and colors throughout the print! Vivid yellows, blues and reds in the detailed scene of the battle/siege of Limerick. Small tears have been repaired using japan paper on reverse, print properly cleaned to show colors & lighten water damaged areas. Scratch to center of print accross womans maroon dress. Matted in acid free paper and housed in late 19th/early 20th century walnut frame. Important subject matter showing the Irish of New York were still helping their countrymen's struggle for freedom in 1867.
