Description:
This fine American oak sideboard has quarter-sawn oak swirling all over it. What a great piece it is! Two outstanding decorated drawers sit just below the top; followed by a center door (covered in applied trim) that opens out from the bottom like a pull-down desk. Behind this door are 3 nice drawers, one with the center handle that probably was made for silverware ("remove it and take it to the table to assist you when setting the table for a meal"). On either side of this center door are smaller doors that swing out providing more storage. At the bottom find a huge, full-length drawer that probably weighs about 45 pounds when empty. This fine sideboard base could be used in a dining room as originally intended with a great mirror hanging over it (I have an absolutely wonderful mirror that I will be listing soon), or it would make a fantastic vanity for a master bathroom. Remove the top and add a granite top of choice, or use the beautiful quarter-sawn oak top with vessel sinks. (Quarter-sawn oak top is shown in picture #4). You could remove the casters and subtract 1 1/2" from the height, if needed. Notice the wonderful paw feet (pictured) which are on the front legs. This piece has lots of possibilities--your imagination is the limit...
