Description:
This lot of 12 Snow Cap Christmas ornaments which include 2 Green, 3 Light Gold, 1 Dark Blue, 2 Medium Blue, 2 Red and 1 Larger Blue were made by Shiny Brite and are marked; Shiny Brite/Made in USA on the cap.
In the late 1950's American made glass ornaments produced in sets were sold in profusion. Industry statistics stated that 10 percent of the glass ornaments used on American trees broke every year, so with 39,000,000 trees in the United States, steady sales were assured regardless of any additions to family inventories.
The smaller 11 measure 3 inches tall and the larger blue one measures 3 1/2 inches tall. From years of use they are not in perfect condition and have some scratches and discoloration as you can see in the pictures. An addition to any Shiny Brite or Vintage Ornament Collection.
