Description: This lot of 8 vintage Christmas ornaments are marked; Shiny Brite/Made in USA on the cap. The lot consists of 4 spheres (3 pink and 1 gold that measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide), 1 large silver sphere with green, red, white and orange stripes that measures 3 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide, 1 silver and red double indent with white stripe that measures 3 1/4 inches tall, and 1 3/4 inches wide, 1 pink stencil sphere with deer and trees that measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 small pink sphere with a glittered top that measures 2 1/2 inches tall and 2 inches wide.
In the late 1950's American made glass ornaments produced in sets were sold in profusion. Industry statistics stated that 10 percent of the glass ornaments used on American trees broke every year, so with 39,000,000 trees in the United States, steady sales were assured regardless of any additions to family inventories.
In very good condition with some age discoloration they would be an addition to any Shiny Brite or Vintage Ornament Collection.
