Description: This elegant bow front chest of drawers is from the Sheraton period. The top and sides are solid cherry. The drawer fronts are mahogany. The graining of the cherry and mahogany is exceptional. Notice the subtle detailing of the reed carvings along the front corners of the cabinet. The sides have recessed panels. The chest of drawers rests on tall slender turned feet. The drawer fronts have cock beading along the frame and their original locks and key escutcheons. The replaced brasses are solid brass. The hand dovetailed drawers are graduated in size and all work smoothly opening and closing. The finish is in excellent condition and has a rich warm color and patina.
