Description:
The Seth Thomas "Queen Anne" wall clock is highly prized by collectors for its classic lines and excellence of timekeeping. This clock has had a 'furniture finish' applied and retains its original painted dial, hands, pendulum "bob" and beat indicator. It has a clean eight-day movement keeping excellent time. The case features turned side columns and the ornate 'balcony' or 'book rack' on the bottom of the case(see photographs). It also retains the correct door lock, wall levelers and other case hardware. The nickel pendulum 'bob' has great damascening and includes its original pendulum stick. There is a nickel beat scale and dial ring. The eight-day movement is signed and has its original Geneva Stop (often missing from antique clocks). This is a very good example of the "Queen Anne" which will appeal to buyers who prefer a gloss case finish. NOTE: What appears to be a white line on the door glass in our photograph of the clock is only a reflection. The glass is perfect.
