SETH THOMAS MAIDEN LANE TYPE 24 HOUR DIAL TWO-TONE Circa: 1890. Extremely rare. This Seth Thomas Grade was produced without the "Maiden Lane" signature and is the same production run. The condition overall is superb and the case, dial, and movement are all original! Featured is are the very bright and bold color contrast on this movement. Just removed from my personal collection (painfully). Grossley undervalued. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Mint white porcelain with 24 hours centered. Single sunken. Marked: "SETH THOMAS" in clear bold figures. Original black spade hands. Very nice.
MOVEMENT: 18 size, open face, Full Plate Nickel with gold and yellow two- Tone pattern damscening, "15 Jewels", signed: 'Seth Thomas/ Thomason, Conn.", #290,424. Remarkable original condition, free of distraction. All 14k rose gold screw down jewel settings.
CASE: Original to the movement; screw back and bezel, plain original surfaces, built by the Keystone Watch Case Co. Excellent condition with the original thick hard rock beveled crystal. Excellent polished back and bezel with some brassing on the very bottom edge, out of view, which does not distract.
