Description:
The Seth Thomas Clock Company only produced a limited number of so-called "banjo" clocks. This was their finest and they proudly named it---"BANJO #1-1924". The clock includes brass side rails and a large brass eagle finial. The glasses are painted with American naval scenes. This clock is near perfect without alterations or restorations of any kind. It has an excellent signed painted dial with Arabic numerals. The signed eight-day time-only movement is spring powered and runs stoutly...keeping perfect time. Inside the lower door are the original printed instructions for setting up and maintaining the clock. You can be sure that this is one of the best examples of Seth Thomas company's wall banjo clocks. I'd like to keep it myself, but we're in business to sell antique clocks, so it's available to the first serious buyer.
