Description:
Here is a hard to find set of solid oak dining chairs in the feudal style. These chars would look good with a variety of style tables, including Victorian. The set includes 6 sides and 2 armchairs. Each has a shapely carved crest. The side chairs measure 18"w X 41.5"h X 20"d. The armchairs measure 21.5"w X 41.5"h X 22"d. The armchairs have acanthus carved leaves on the hand rests and along the arm supports. The legs are boldly carved and turned with stretchers for additional support. All are on casters. The finish appears original and in very good condition. The frames are all tight with no breaks or repairs. The leather backs and seats have extensive wear, giving it a wonderful time worn, aged appearance. Check out the unusual fancy brass tacks along the upholstery. Three chairs each have a tack missing. The chairs are quite comfortable and designed to take use and abuse!
