Description:
A set of 4 Jaeger & Co. of Bavaria hand painted fruit plates, ca. 1950's. The plates have ivory backgrounds with gold bands at the rims. Each plate is hand decorated with a different fruit subject. One plate depicts appples and red and white currants in shades of red, yellow, green, and brown. One depicts an orange, a strawberry, rose hips, and blueberries in shades of orange, red, blue, green, and brown. One depicts pears and grapes in shades of green, yellow, red, and brown. The fourth plate depicts a pineapple and strawberries in shades of red, yellow, orange, brown, and green. These plates were imported and distributed by Ebeling & Reuss of Devon, Pennsylvania and each bears its stamped crown and shield logo in blue and black on the reverse. Each plate also bears the stamped Jaeger eagle logo in green on the reverse. Shipping quoted upon sale.
