Set: 3 Crown Derby Porcelain Campana Vases Urns, C.1800
Description: Set: 3 Early Crown Derby Porcelain Double Handled Campana Vase Urns, C.1800-25 England. Set Includes: 1 Large Urn & 2 Small Urns. The front of each urn featured a reserve painted with an arrangement of colorful garden flowers in a basket on a ledge. The surface of each urn is decorated with a dark cobalt blue ground with scrolling foliage in gilding. The underside of each base is marked with hand painted iron red crown mark with crossed batons and "D". Dimensions: Large Vase: 11.6in. High, 9in. Wide, 6in. Deep. Small Vases: 8.8in. High, 7.5in. Wide, 4.75in. Deep. Total Weight: 8lbs. Condition: The surface of each piece is crazed. Each piece has been professionally restored. The top/rim of the large urn and one small urn have been repaired and over painted. Both of the handles on each of the small urns have been repaired and over painted. The over painted areas are visible as the crazing to the surface of the porcelain is not visible through the paint/clear coat. There is a hairline crack to the base of one of the handles on the large urn. There are a number of glaze imperfections to the surface of each piece (especially along the edges of the large urn). There are a few losses to the painted floral scene on one of the small urns (losses have been over painted). There is some minor rubbing/wear the gilt pattern and rims on each piece. Otherwise, the pieces are in good condition.
