Vintage Deco Color Ad with sensual siren who knows that Beauty Begins in the Bathtub! Elegant and suggestive this is a slightly risque image done in wonderful color photography for Ivory Soap. Taken from a 1929 issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine this is a marvelously racy image of a couple in the moonlight- the lady knows she is at her best and most lovely due to a plunge in the tub with Ivory Soap. Great image- note her slender figure and expression, the palm leaves overhead and the plunging back of her frock- very chic in 1932. Ads with color photography were begining to crop up in the glossy magazines aimed primarily at the middle class female consumer during the dazzling Deco Era. Ad measures 9 x 12 and is in crisp clean good overall condition. This would make a wonderful decorative accent piece or unique gift.The sleekness of the couple and the delicate shading of the image makes this ad unusually beautiful in person.
