Description: A great Scotch Tall Clock Circa 1820 signed on the face, by “ W. Harvey Stirling” It is from a Kansas City estate until its recent move to Savannah. It has an eight-day movement that is in the best of condition. The clock runs well and keeps good time. The case is a Crouch faced Mahogany with a great patina. The large square bonnet sits on a figured base with ogee bracket feet. She has a great Scottish painting on the face which is in wonderful condition as well. The Regency style and form all indicate circa to be 1820. With these Neo -Classical lines the wood turning and the heavy wood construction lead me to believe that it could be an American made case [Mass.]with imported works. If one has any further questions or would like us to supply other images of this article please don’t hesitate to email us. We will do our best to accommodate your request as soon as possible.
