Description: Scot, The Dog Hero. Scot, The Life Saving Dog of the Lake Front. By Cora Estelle Myers. Self-published, 1923. 12mo., 198 pp., cream printed dust jacket, grey textured cloth with gilt lettering on cover and spine, black-and-white pictorial frontispiece. The true story (probably with some embellishment) of a collie named Scot who saved at least a dozen lives on the Lake Front of Chicago. Quite rare. The last 20 pages are dedicated to the history of the Animal Humane movement. Dust jacket has some light foxing and a few small spots. Clean boards. Endpapers have some light toning, fore-edges have very light foxing, a few spots on title page, otherwise interior extremely clean and crisp, in Very Good Plus Plus condition. [NBK689]
