Description: Schafer & Vater produced this blue jasperware hair receiver circa 1900. The ornate lid features, in detailed pink bas-relief a lovely lady with long flowing hair, seated with roses in her lap and serenaded by a winged cherub playing a lute. The corners of the lid are further adorned with fancy Art Deco ornaments. The base is decorated with geometric floral regalia. Measuring 3 1/4 inches in diameter x 2 1/4 inches tall and is marked on the bottom with the 4038. This very lovely piece of old delicate jasperware pottery is in excellent condition.
