Description: Schafer & Vater produced this outstanding sage green jasperware dressing table jar circa 1900. The lid features, in detailed bas-relief, three frolicking cherubs against a teal green background and surrounded by geometric decorations. The base is adorned, on both the front and back, with more Art Nouveau ornamentations. Measuring 4 1/2 inches long x 2 1/2 inches deep x 2 1/2 inches tall and is marked on the bottom with the Schafer and Vater crown and the number 2899 This very lovely piece of old delicate jasperware pottery is in excellent condition.
