Please see the Plum Plate from this series I have also listed. NOT a Reproduction!! This pristine "Fruit Basket" is part of the extensive Fruit Series Sarreguemines, France, produced over the years. According to the Sarreguemines expert Helen Cunningham (see "Majolica Figures" p 62) the marks found on this piece date from 1920 - 1950 during which time all wares were marked with an impressed FRANCE in addition to "Sarreguemines" in printed black script with D&V overwritten on it. Great condition, other than some interior discoloration from use I can find no flaws. The colors are vibrant & the glaze ultra shiny having no wear, no chips, hairlines or repair. A nice large piece that displays extremely well.
