Description: This is a very clean coffin style plane marked Sandusky Tool Co. on the blade and on the front of the plane. This plane is 8" x 2 1/8" cutter. The front of the plane also reads OHIO. No major damage of any sort on this one, nice finish, there is one hairline grain split at the top of the plane near the throat, but still plenty strong, a small splinter off the blade assembly wedge, but still locks in tight and doesn't affect the outward appearence and blade can be held very tightly. There are a few other minor grain seperations on the plane, but none that effect overall use of the plane. The bottom has some scratches, but less than normal for a plane in the area of 100 years old. Very nice! Makes a great decorative piece in your home or shop.
