Description:
Glitzy fun pair of c1950 Angling Salmon bookends in excellent condition. They were made in 2 parts with the fish being bolted to the backing. I think they represent salmons swimming upstream ( Salmon Run ) to spawn. A fast moving river edged by pine trees is seen in the background as the fish are making a splash while jumping up. The salmon are very realistically modeled. Their finish is a silvery patina with copper highlights. A highly decorative pair of higher quality than most fishing related bookends..... To view MORE BOOKENDS I have listed please click on the "VIEW THIS DEALER'S OTHER ITEMS" button on the left, then type in the search box....Please enlarge my photos for a closer look.... Canadians will pay applicable taxes....Insured & tracked shipping to addresses in North America should be $28 approx. (very heavy)
