Description: ON SALE !! REDUCED MAKE AN OFFER Shipping/handling and insurance INCLUDED in price. This is a very old round wooden box, origanl green paint. Has a crack across the lid, but does not come apart. Considered a sailor's box as inside are two leather thumb guards used by sailors when dealing with the ropes on the ship. Other items found inside and come with the box are many hand made metal balls used for a musket, along with the leather pouch that held the balls. The pouch seem has started to come apart so the balls no long stay in. The pouch has a hand carved wooden plug. The pouch appears to be from the mid to late 1800's. Also included is a rattle snake tail in a clear plastic container and one 1950's? chop stick. What delightful pieces of history in one container.
