Description:
Well Im pretty sure this is quite a unique one of a kind item here.It appears to be a presentation book cover in sterling silver with Russian hall marks (˝ triangle & workers head 84)(EC).Dedicated to Roxy who I believe is connected with the Roxy Theatre.This was very difficult to get pictures of ,but I hope you can see the deep fine engravings of a large Russian State bird with a ruby stone set into its tail & to the left os that a round floral wreath topped with a ruby with the initials of SLR in the center under that the floral design keeps trailing & at the bottom of the design is yet another ruby stone.The presentation inscription reads “To Roxy” “May his star shine always with undimmed Luster in coming years of infinite success and worship”Yasha ,January 1,1925.
This cover measures 13 5/8" long x 8 ˝" w.
It is sterling silver in very good condition overall , having only some minor scratching a few pin head size dents & one small ruby stone missing from the eye of the birds eye & a slight split in the silver at the edge of the bottom. The weight of the sterling is very heavy .
