This is a simply stunning ring with diverse contrasts not only in color, but also the countries that the gemstones originated from. In the center is an absolutely gorgeous, highly faceted oval Mexican Fire Opal that measures 7mm x 5mm x 4mm, with an approx. carat weight of .61 carats. This gemstone has a base color of tangerine with great flashes of yellow & orange. Surrounding the Opal, t are a total of fourteen 5mm x 3mm x 3.5mm highly faceted Marquise-shaped Green Chrome Diopside. *** Chrome Diopside is found all over the world; however, only gem quality, such as this, is found in the Frozen Tundra of Russia. It requires specialized cutting expertise and only 10% of the rough ends up as a polished gem. T are no treatments to Chrome Diopside and yet it has nearly twice the refraction of an Emerald. *** T is a total of 3.50 carats of Chrome Diopside gemstones in this ring. The ring has a split shank and it measures 2mm in the back. The ring is a Size 7 1/2 and could be re-sized by a qualified goldsmith/jeweler. The ring weighs 3.1 Grams, with a total carat weight of 4.11 carats. All of my gemstones are natural, earth mined stones, unless otherwise stated.
