Description: Rug made by George Washington Carver (1864-1943). 8.25" round miniature center piece rug made of wool and other natural fibers in good condition. Professionally framed with an original C. 1920 9" X 7" sepia photograph of Dr.Carver working in his laboratory. Dr. Carver gave this rug to a student of Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute in 1917. A wonderful artifact made by the hands of one of the most important scientist of the 20th century. Letter of authenticity included.
