Table of Contents

Prices are given in both U.S. Dollars and British pounds.

The first comprehensive volume on Grimwade/Royal Winton products that includes both chintz and non-chintz wares, Royal Winton Porcelain illustrates and discusses all products made by the Grimwades factories in their ""Golden Years,"" from 1885 through the 1960s. And just in time for today's ""re-discovery"" of the highly collectible chintz patterns of yesteryear.

Known for their high-volume production of quality ceramic wares, everyday household items and luxurious tea sets, the Grimwades factories remained among England's steadiest producers of porcelain goods throughout both World Wars. This book tells the story of the firm's humble beginnings in Staffordshire, England, and how it eventually earned the nickname ""Royal Winton.""

A century later, collectors are just now discovering the characteristic beauty and collectibility of Royal Winton wares.

All of Grimwade/Royal Winton's chintz patterns are thoroughly described, and there are sections dedicated to Rosebud, Cottage Ware, the Byzanta and Shakespeare series, household items, souvenir pieces, and patent items such as the famed ""Quick-Cooker"" and the Sanitary Bed Pan. Ms. Busby had provided a company history, as well as useful information on trademarks and backstamps.

Included in its entirety is the original Grimwades 1913 Catalogue, printed to commemorate the Royal visit to the Potteries made by King George V and Queen Mary. Featured in the back of the book is a 1998 value guide, as well as a comprehensive price guide on Royal Winton chintz patterns
