Description: Royal Bayreuth Tapestry China is so named because of its rough finish similar in texture to needlepoint tapestry. This effect was obtained by the process of wrapping the article in coarse cloth, then baking. The cloth was consumed in the baking and the desired tapestry effect resulted. The beautiful pink rose patern with floral decoration was added over the glaze. Measuring about 11 1/4 x 8 inches and with the exception of only slight wear to the gold, is in excellent condition without any damage, or crazing, etc
