Description: Royal Bayreuth Tapestry China is so named because of its rough finish similar in texture to needlepoint tapestry. This effect was obtained by the process of wrapping the article in coarse cloth, then baking. The cloth was consumed in the baking and the desired tapestry effect resulted. - The beautiful Pink Roses pattern with floral decoration, was added over the glaze. The bottom has the Royal Bayreuth blue stamp dating it back to the early years off the 20th century. This outstanding 9 1/2 inch tall vase features ornate gold painted handles, dozens of pink roses, all against their rich Tapestry background. With the exception of only slight wear to the gold, this vase, is in excellent condition without any damage, or crazing, etc
