Description:
This amazing rosewood stationery box and writing slope is an
unusual find. It is complete and original throughout. The
height is 19.5" & the depth is 28" when open. The exterior
displays exceptional detail (see photo above) and fine
craftsmanship only found in custom made pieces of the day.
The box features tooled leather writing surface, polished brass
hardware, writing accessories, perpetual calendar, and two
original brass topped inkwells. These boxes are extremely
difficult to find in original, unrestored condition - especially of
this calibar. We have seen several stationery boxes over the
years, but we have never had anything quite like this one.
