Description:
For sale a very early Florentine 1 Jardinière made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The piece has wonderful Buttress Handles with a deep rustic brown background glaze. There are clusters of grape leaves combined in a garland of flowers separating each panel. The grape clusters have a deep green and plum accent color. This was the second most popular Pattern from Roseville at the time it was made. Only the Donatello Pattern was more popular. The piece is in excellent condition as there is only a few glaze pops in the exterior glaze. Common with most pieces of pottery. Nice crisp mold with excellent detail and color. It is signed with the early RV Ink Stamp signature and the mold number 602 and 6" also in ink.
