Description:
Produced by Paden City circa 1930s, this Elegant rose pink Depression glass SEVEN piece vanity set consists of two perfume bottles, a powder jar and a tray. The perfume bottles are each 5 1/4 inches tall with their ground stoppers and they have a fluted or ribbed base and lots of gold trim, the tray is 10 x 6 inches and is ribbed horizontally on the bottom, the powder jar, also trimmed with gold, is 4 1/4 inches across thrim and the bowl is 2 inches deep, with the lid it measures 4 1/4 inches tall. The set without the tray is shown on page 126 of Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. With the exception of a few rough spots, one broken dauber, the other dauber is not damaged , and minor roughness on the rim of the tray all seven pieces of the gorgeous Peacock pink and gold Elegant Depression glass vanity set are in excellent condition.
