Description: An exremely rare "Roman Bronze Jug." Featured is a lion face on each side of the jug, a male and female figures sitting around floral patterns. This Large heavy Roman bronze jug is a beautiful example of the ancient art. Bronze reacts with moisture (oxidation) to form a greenish layer on its surface, called patina. Part of the rim has dissolved over time. L. 22.5cm (rim)7cm
