ROLEX LADIES PRECISION 18k GOLD SUB. SECONDS BOMBAY Ref. 8738 Circa: 1947. Unique and very early Ladies Rolex Watch. Featured is the original Guilloche pattern subsidary dial. All early Rolex case designs were of the so called: "Bombay" style. This style presents a more stylish lug and case design with more curves and somewhat thicker than much latter Rolex design. All components of this rare Rolex watch are original and in clean, running and very accurate condition. Very collectible and desirable when found this early and in this superb condition. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Guilloche pattern throughout the surface and marked: "ROLEX/ PRECISION" above the center post. Pyramid baton applied 18k gold figures with Arrowhead design at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. Unique to Rolex Watch Co., and very stylish.
MOVEMENT: 3/4 plate nickel, pendent set, "PATENTED SUPER BALANCE" on the winding wheel, "Rolex Geneva/ Seventeen (17) Jewels", "Adjusted to two (2) Positions". Excellent condition and original to the case and dial.
CASE: Screw back two body solid 18k yellow gold case with a very fine fluted bezel. Polished surfaces throughout. Ref. 8738.
