Description: Exquisite Victorian Rococo Walnut Over the Mantel Mirror with some of the best original carvings of this type we have seen! The top crest is almost a foot high and is all open pierced carved with leaves, ribbons, fruits, and nuts. Notice how the connecting carvings are stylized notched branches. The corresponding side carvings have more fruits and grape clusters. The carvings are all highlighted with the original gilt which is in superb condition with only slight age loss and excellent original patination. The perimeter of the frame is deeply finger carved. The back retains the old wooden back boards. Circa: 1860 Dimensions: 32" H x 46" W x 10" D Finish: Excellent original with very slight gilt loss Price: $1950.00
