This is quite the exceptional Rococo console .It is intricately carved with flowers that show off the central large carved shell on the front of the skirt.And as if that weren’t enough there is something even more exciting sitting Under the carved shell !A carved Cherub holding a bow & arrow in his hands.The carving throughout this entire piece is just so exceptional , it screams of antiquity.There has been some professional restoration to the gold as you would expect to see on a piece dating from the 1760's.The marble top has very nice gray veining throughout & the beveled edge is very bold . This console measures 36" high x 40" wide x 18"deep.The condition is just so exceptional .
