ROCKFORD GRADE 835 RECESSED BALANCE GILT TRIMMED NEW YORK JEWELERS HUNTING CASE Circa: 1905. Very scarce New York Jewelers Rockford. This 17 Jewel recessed balance model presents a nickel pattern damascening of the plate. The porcelain dial is fully signed: "Chas F. Hurd/ Medina, N.Y." This dial was especially created by Rockford for this jeweler and the movement is marked with his name as well. This watch is clean, running and in superb clean, running original condition. Especially collectible.
THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: White porcelain double sunken signed: "Chas F. Hurd/ Medina, N.Y." with bold fancy Arabic figures. A hairline exists under the sub. seconds circle which is very difficult to view. Rare original dial.
MOVEMENT: 18 size, hunting model, full plate nickel pattern damascening with lever set, Recessed balance, Model 835, signed "Chas. F. Hurd/ Medina, N.Y.", "17 Jewels", #592,495. Gilt trimed and original to the case. Bright colors, very nice.
CASE: Gold filled and very fancy free of initials or personalization and with the home in the country on the back center. Free of dings, brass or distraction.
