ROCKFORD 21j GRADE 910 RECESSED BALANCE Circa: 1898. Fine and very scarce. Rockford pocket watches are always very scarce, but this 18 size Railroad Grade is even scarcer. All components are original and consistent with Railroad approved. THe double sunken dial features bold Arabic figures with original hands and the movement is free of distraction. Clean, running and still very accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Double sunken white porcelain signed: "Rockford". Single light hairline at 1 edge does not distract. Very scarce Rockford original Railroad dial.
MOVEMENT: 18 size, open face, lever set, signed: "ADJUSTED", and "Rockford Watch Co., with a recessed balance, "21 Jewels", #517,620. Excellent original condition and original to the case.
CASE: 18 size, all original Wadworth Pilot Twenty Five year with two plates of solid gold. Engine turned, crested with a shield; free of initials. Exceptional condition heavy swing out style case, which was designed to protect the movement much better than the usual screw back and bezel designs.
