Fantastically glamorous image for 4711 Cologne featured in this original Vintage Art Deco French Ad/Print for 1928. Taken from a rare issue of L'Illustration Magazine this is a wonderful example of the exuberant, sensual print art created for some of the more elite magazines of the era especially in France, the birthplace of the aesthetic movement which would come to be known as Art Deco. This is a lush elegant black and white image of a beautiful Flapper/Showgirl type offering up a bounty of white flowers overhead and sporting a risque barely-there ensemble revealing large sections of her arms. legs and torso- she is also surrounded by what appears to be large outspread butterfly wings. Unusually sensual image done for the fabulous French L'Illustration Magazine is the embodiment of the Dazzling Deco High-style. Beautiful and bold done on stark black background this is an image of spectacular design that will not be seen again soon.
