Description: For Sale I have a lovely Art Glass Vase made by Josef Rindskopf of Bohemia. This is now modern day Austria. I Have a Tapered with Flared Rim Shaped Art Glass Vase that is just beautiful. The top has an outside diameter of 1 5/8". This type Vase is often confused with Loetz or Kralik but this is a documented Form and Iridescence Finish by Rindskopf.

Rindskopf is best known on the American market by its "Pepita" line-clear glass furrowed in light green and shading to a wine red at the top. The Vase has one of the nicest iridescent finishes I have seen on a European piece of Art Glass in quite some time. The Texture and finish reminded me of Bark on a Tree yet it is also similar to some Fern Leaves I have seen. The Textured Cranberry Accented with Gold Iridescence is just outstanding. The Colors are Brilliant as you can see Brilliant Gold's, Deep Blues, Purples, and Cranberry. When lit the Vase looks very different than lit. It kind of Reminds me of Amberina Glass and very well could have been made to compete with that market.

The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips, or dings. The Vase is not signed but it has a very nicely polished top lip. This means the piece was blown from the top, and not the bottom. This was typical of Rindskopf as their American Contemporaries such as Tiffany Favrile, Steuben Aurene, Durand and Quezal blew almost of their Vases from the bottom. This explains the Countersunk Polished Pontil on those pieces.

This is a beautiful Vase and I'm sure the buyer will cherish in their collection. The colors are just wonderful. The piece was made in the early 1900's circa 1900-1905.
