Riessner Amphora Porcelain Figural Group Bowl, C.1905
Description: Antique Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel Amphora Porcelain Figural Group Centerpiece Bowl, Early 20th C. Austria. The piece is modeled in the form of a girl and boy (with flowers) standing and perched along the side/rim of an octagonal shaped bowl with pierced fence form rim and two handles. The underside of the base is marked with impressed oval "AMPHORA" mark (dating the piece C.1905-1910) and impressed: "20046 15" and "G1" with underglaze blue "M" or "W". Price Comparison: $500-600 in Fine Art & Antiques Gallery. Dimensions: 7" High, 9-1/2" Wide, 7-3/4" Deep. Weight: 2.54lbs. (41oz.) Condition: The surface is evenly crazed with some darkening to the surface (primarily along the interior). There is some dirt/dust to the surface. Otherwise, the piece is in good condition.
