Description:
A 19th century Victorian Trade Card advertising "Rice's Seed Gardens" which was located in Cambridge, Cambridge Valley, Washington County, N.Y. The card measures 4 9/16" by 2 3/4". The rich colorful scene on the card front shows children pulling on a rope by which they are lifting a beautiful large watermelon. Printed on the front is the following, "Cuban Queen" and "81 Pounds" and "Try Rices Seeds." The word "Over" is printed in the lower right white margin. The condition, which is particularly nice, is shown in the pictures that accompany the listing.
