Description:
This beautiful oak wine cooler was hand-crafted in Georgian England around 1840 and recently restored by a team of master craftsmen. The oak and yew wood crossbanding have developed a lovely patina, which enriches the woods' gorgeous complexion and pronounced grain. Solid-brass hardware together with white escutcheons complement the wood very well. Hand-cut dovetails join the corners of the piece, which is a very unique feature that is both beautiful and a key element to very sturdy construction. The top of this piece opens to reveal two divided sections that span the height of the piece; the elegant drawer fronts are faux, intended to elegantly disguise this piece as a chest of drawers. The recent restoration was very successful and this piece shows no damage, although there are some old dings and scratches that were repaired in the restoration; they are a charming feature, however, and is often mimicked by a high-quality reproduction technique known as distressing. This splendid oak wine cooler will continue to function beautifully for years, so don't miss your chance to make it a part of your home today!
