Description: c1870 Desk of walnut with burl walnut decorative veneers. American, Victorian era drop front desk opens to reveal a 4 drawer interior with cubbies. Fine hand cut dovetails with ash secondary wood. Writing surface has been refelted in blue, can be done in tooled leather for additional amount. The desk section is over a 3 drawer base with walnut veneer burl oval panels, original teardrop pulls and drawers are flanked on each side by fancy carvings. Desk has a broken arch backsplash with turned finial. Stands approx 66" high, 33" wide and 18 1/2" deep.
