Description: What a find! This Victorian crib is of exceptional quality and has classic Renaissance Revival elements. The headboard measures 55" tall and the footboard is 48" tall. The carvings are bold and robust with gold incising. There are ebonized highlights throughout. The spindled side rails are hinged and designed to drop down on either side. There are 2 recessed bolts that lock each side in place for security. Check out the beautiful recessed and applied burled walnut panel on the footboard. There is gold incising, which appears to be a monogram. The crib has its original wooden casters. One of the side rails has a 4" long narrow sliver of wood missing on the top. This is not immediately noticeable. There are a couple of older cracks that have been repaired. The crib is extremely sturdy and is designed to come apart in 4 separate pieces for transporting or storage. Amazingly, the finish is original and in very good condition.
